چکیده

In this study, microspore formation (microsporogenesis), gamete (microgametogenesis), and pollen features of Silene sangaria, a species endemic to Turkey, was examined cytoembryologically histochemically. The is distributed along the Black Sea coast Turkey. materials were collected from Igneada village (Kirklareli province). anthers, separated by size, passed through ethyl alcohol concentration series, embedded in historesin. Sections sliced using rotary microtome stained with toluidine blue O for general histological observations, Coomassie brilliant proteins, periodic acid-Schiff insoluble polysaccharides. aceto-orcein squash technique used cytological lactophenol-aniline solution assess viability. anthers S. sangaria are tetrasporangiate, its anther wall development basic type. tapetum secretory type, cytokinesis simultaneous As result meiotic division mother cells, 43.5% decussate, 28.2% rhomboidal, 21.1% tetrahedral 7.2% isobilateral tetrads occur. released microspores first pass mitosis form vegetative generative then cell passes second two sperm cells. Pollen grains three-celled when anther. viability rate high (91.82%). Mature grain contains polysaccharide protein.
